The Legend...Light....
We're big fans of Heineken round these parts, we're also fans of entertaining creative and especially from the W+K stable so when the planets line up it inevitably results with activity in this dingy corner of the Internet
These, men want to be, women want to be with characters work well in their evocative surroundings, supported by generally killer soundtracks (not so much in this case) that form the back drop of their daily lives to create 45 or so seconds of escapism...which is exactly what good advertising should do
I think anyway
Well done W+K, again

good luck to all you ballers
so Brosnan! is taking part in Sony's bounc3d campaign (that widget over to the right, which has created an interesting user experience), hope those of you stopping by to pick up your balls found what you're looking for (ssshhh, clue...scroll down, the balls like hiding behind the videos)
for those of you who don't follow the link, its a bit like balloonacy but with tennis balls
there is also a video to support the campaign, which is a creative first as far as I'm aware - a brand parodying their own ad
remember this?
then take a look at this
nice idea, but I think Crayon maybe got a bit carried away with the CGI?
the republic of Brosnan! remains an independent state and therefore did not accept payment for this post...not that any cash was offered, humph

the post hibernation Brosnan! double header...
...principally lazyness, partly a lack of inspiration to post, but following a six month hiatus Brosnan! has woken up again with a couple of interesting finds
first up, Christopher Moltisanti is back from the dead and flogging tequila in entertaining fashion
good work Dead As We Know It, keep up the good work and we'll see you around these parts again no doubt
also really enjoying this snippit of wierdness for OPC Toronto (another new name on the Brosnan! block); thought it continued the loose, Cosa Nostra theme nicely:
Poker Wingman? me neither.

...Christmas 2010...Part 1...
i've been neglecting Brosnan! for a while, in short, I've been busy and there hasn't been that much to shout about of late in terms of music, virals, or adverstising...until now (thats my excuse anyway, i think the complete truth is that i've been living is some work shaped bubble for too long)
and so to our very good friends at Heineken, their latest work of art, The Entrance, is bang on for the party season, its part Teen Wolf walking in to the prom (5.20), part music video (literally), but ALL good:
*a product of the Amsterdam dream team: AKQA / W+K
no money has changed hands here...this is all for the love

...you guys are a$$holes...
this is old, not sure why it didn't get posted ages ago, still worth an airing though
i'm not a gamer, we've got a wii for fucks sake, and even that never gets used, so why on earth should i be giving Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit some Brosnan! love?
because i think this particular trailer is great, that's why:
W+K Amsterdam, I doth my cap...yet again...

...nice, that's nice...
there's been a bit of a creative glut of late in my opinion, the Nike/LeBron vehicle was decent (well done W+K, props as always), but didn't really float my boat...oh, and Antoine's gonna get some love too, but 180 LA, you're top of the Lady Pyramid this week:

...a call to arms...
comrades, in a couple of weeks I'm chipping away at my 15 minutes of *fame* by appearing on a national radio show to talk about how the Beastie Boys classic, Check You Head is all killer...no filler
if you disagree with this statement, stop reading
if you agree, you'll know and love the album and will undoubtedly have an opinion on what you think the standout track is; the playlist section here has a listing to help refresh your memory
i need to pick two that will be played on air; answers on a comment post below or email would be much appreciated...
as a reminder, here's some calssic Letterman footage from the period:

...guilty pleasures part 2...
as penance for my absenteeism of late and because my guilty r&b pleasure was commended all the way from Sydney (thanks Jamie), i'm going to reveal some other dark corners of my listening universe
for what you are about to experience I kind of apologise:
Country:
more matra than song
Rap Metal:
see also this, this (excellent), this, or this, basically anything off the Judgement Night soundtrack
Classic Americana:
and only, only because of the final scene from the Sopranos (spoiler)
Pop:
that'll do for now

...Kate Nash gives birth to hipster bashing...
okay, i've been off getting married and on a frankly amazing honeymoon, so Brosnan! has been gathering some dust; i'll try and make that up this week
one positive in my absence is that the global self-mocking of the (anti-)fashionista culture continues on a pace and it's all Kate Nash's fault...so at least she has given something positive to pop culture
in reverse chronological order, first (last really) this masterpiece charts from London:
before that we had Honda Australia very cleverly putting the boot in:
both can surely trace their roots to here:
(this is worth a look too)
which was a direct parody of this:
so clearly, it's all her fault. so thanks Kate Nash, good work
by the way, if i've missed anything in the family tree let me know and i'll add it in...i'm clearly not a tw@t completest
before you start. yes, i get a train in from Cambridgeshire, to East London. yes, I do work in media. yes, i do own a bike with one gear. yes, i do own at least one (3) check shirt. yes, the frames of my classes are quite thick. and yes, I did write this micro-thesis on the orgins of this trend without a hint of irony
but in my defense. no, i don't have a 'stache. no, i'm not writing a book about my balls. no, i don't go to warehouse raves. no, i don't play a synthesiser (sp? - answers on a postcard to PO Box who gives a shit E1) and no, I don't care what font the handbook to my car is printed in...or anything else for that matter...as long as it's not Times New Roman...

- welcome to Brosnan! a self indulgent video collection of the daily(ish) highlights thrown up by the random playlist on my ipod, interspersed with occasional news, ads, virals, or whatever else feels newsworthy in this tiny corner of the internet. comments, responses, and ideas for inclusion always welcome...this is a two way street y'all...
